Technology is an entity which is designed to make our life easy & comfortable is known as technology. On the venture of time, technology can be classified on two categories:

- Traditional Technology

- Modern Technology

So we all know that we can't live without technology because it has lots of importance in our life. But due to the overdependence on technology has created serious health problems, mental issues & social issues in the society & nation. 

For eg : Ram is a student, he comes from the school & plays games, browses social media for 3 hours. On the other hand, Ramesh is a student, he comes from the school & joins the yoga class. He also sees mobile phones if he needs to. Here in this case, Ram will face serious health & mental problems soon. As he is very involved with mobile & technology. Below, we will discuss how technology has become a curse for the individuals. 

CONS OF TECHNOLOGY    

Technology has become curse for the world & human beings due to various reasons: Some of its disadvantages are:

Health Issues

Due to increase in the technology, people have engaged more in mobile, computers and laptops for playing online games, social media browsing & many more.  Due to the incensement, serious health problems have been seen. Some of the health issue seen are:

- Physical Health Problems

- Mental Health Problems

- Social/Society Problems 

Isolation

Technologies, such as social media, are designed to bring people together, yet they may have the opposite effect in some cases.

A 2017study in young adults aged 19–32 years found that people with higher social media use were more than three times as likely to feel socially isolated than those who did not use social media as often.

Depression and anxiety

The authors of a 2016 systematic review Trusted Source discussed the link between social networks and mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety.

Their research found mixed results. People who had more positive interactions and social support on these platforms appeared to have lower levels of depression and anxiety.

However, the reverse was also true. People who perceived that they had more negative social interactions online and who were more prone to social comparison experienced higher levels of depression and anxiety.

However, despite advances in computer processing speed and memory capacity, there are no programs yet that can match full human flexibility across broader domains or tasks requiring extensive everyday knowledge. Nonetheless, AI has found applications in diverse areas, including medical diagnosis, computer search engines, voice or handwriting recognition, and chat bots. In simpler terms, AI involves creating computer systems that can mimic human intelligence, enabling them to perform tasks that traditionally required human cognition.

AI’s impact depends on how we wield it. Responsible development, regulation, and ethical considerations are crucial to harness its benefits  while mitigating risks. It depends on user how he/she is using the tool. For eg: Vivan is a guy who is using AI to sell his products through online then, it is beneficial for him and it is boon for him. On the other hand, if a guy is using AI to hack the network password or making immoral and naughty videos then it may be curse for him/her.

Boon (Positive Aspects of AI):

2. Healthcare Advancements: AI aids in medical diagnosis, drug discovery, and personalized treatment plans. It can analyze medical images, predict disease outbreaks, and improve patient outcomes.
3. Safety and Security: AI enhances security by detecting anomalies, preventing cyberattacks, and monitoring public spaces. It also assists in disaster response and search-and-rescue operations.
4. Personalization: AI powers recommendation systems, personalized advertisements, and content curation. It tailors experiences to individual preferences.
5. Scientific Research: AI accelerates scientific discoveries by analyzing complex data, simulating experiments, and predicting outcomes

Curse (Challenges and Risks of AI):

1. Job Displacement: Automation driven by AI can lead to job losses, especially in routine tasks. Reskilling and adapting to new roles become crucial.
2. Bias and Fairness: AI algorithms can inherit biases from training data, leading to discriminatory outcomes. Ensuring fairness and transparency is a challenge.
3. Ethical Dilemmas: AI decisions may lack ethical reasoning. For instance, autonomous vehicles must make life-or-death choices.
4. Privacy Concerns: AI collects vast amounts of personal data, raising privacy and surveillance issues. Striking a balance between utility and privacy is essential.
5. Existential Risks: Some fear that advanced AI could surpass human intelligence, leading to unintended consequences or even existential threats.
